I am a data scientist and research scientist. I received my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (Foci: Research Methods and Family Studies) at Penn State. After my doctoral training, I worked as a postdoctoral research scientist (Applied Statistics) in the Center for Economic and Social Research at the University of Southern California and then as a postdoctoral research scientist (Health Psychology) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UCSF.
I am proficient in identifying the most appropriate study designs and statistical methods to the research questions at hand. I am very experienced in conducting exploratory data analysis, longitudinal modeling, multilevel modeling (MLM), structural equation modeling (SEM), dynamic structural equation modeling (DSEM), time-varying effect modeling (TVEM), and machine learning. My substantive research examines emotions, health, and aging across the lifespan. Research Keywords: Data science ♦ research methods ♦ longitudinal modeling ♦ intensive longitudinal assessments ♦ emotions ♦ mental health ♦ physical health ♦ aging |
