I am a data scientist and research scientist. I received my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (Foci: Research Methods and Family Studies) at Penn State. After my doctoral training, I worked as a postdoctoral research scientist (Applied Statistics) in the Center for Economic and Social Research at the University of Southern California and then as a postdoctoral research scientist (Health Psychology) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UCSF.
I am highly proficient in identifying the most appropriate study designs and statistical methods to the research questions at hand. These methods include longitudinal modeling, multilevel modeling (MLM), structural equation modeling (SEM), dynamic structural equation modeling (DSEM), time-varying effect modeling (TVEM), and machine learning. My substantive research examines emotions, health, and aging across the lifespan. Research Keywords: Data science ♦ research methods ♦ longitudinal modeling ♦ intensive longitudinal assessments ♦ emotions ♦ mental health ♦ physical health ♦ aging |
