I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Macau. I received my Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (Foci: Research Methods and Family Studies) at Penn State. After my doctoral training, I worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in the Center for Economic and Social Research at the University of Southern California (USC) and then as a postdoctoral research scientist (Health Psychology) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at UCSF.

I have 15+ years of experience conducting health and social science research. I am very experienced in conducting exploratory data analysis, longitudinal modeling, machine learning, multilevel modeling (MLM), structural equation modeling (SEM), dynamic structural equation modeling (DSEM), and time-varying effect modeling (TVEM).

My substantive research examines emotions, social relationships, health, and mental health across the lifespan (e.g., adolescence, adulthood, aging).

Research Keywords:
♦ Emotion dynamics ♦ social relationships ♦ stress ♦ mental health ♦ physical health ♦ lifespan development ♦ data science ♦ exploratory data analysis (EDA) ♦ longitudinal modeling  ♦ ecological momentary assessments (EMA)
